PARK AVENUE FASHION WEEK
Hello once again, is it me you're looking for?.... Okay that was lame I'm so sleep deprived. You know when you're tired and you get the giggles and nothing you say makes sense? Yeah? That's me right now. PERFECT TIME TO WRITE A BLOG AM I RIGHT LADIES? *said sarcasticlly*
Anyway, that's besides the point. Today's post will be all about what I wore to PARK AVENUE FASHION WEEK, which will be referred to as PAFW in this blog due to lazy fingers and acronyms are cool.
So I am the Assistant Manager for Forema Boutique at our Waterford Lakes location, and every year Forema takes part in the PAFW. This year is my first year working for Forema and me and the store manager Elisabeth got to attend. YAY! So of course your girl had to plan an outfit head to toe weeks in advance (cause c'mon FASHION WEEK). Unfortunately it took a while to find a dress but I finally did at Forema Boutique, of course. So today's post will be all about my outfit, hair and make up.
This was my first fashion show ever and it was literally a blast. Me & Elisabeth got there at 6:45 and got in at 6:50 (so fast) and the inside was like a huge party! There were booths for drinks, and photos and tall tables to network and talk around. Literally walking in on the red carpet through doors protected by security made me feel like a celebrity. Of course the little girl who dreamt about fashion and fabrics and people all her childhood came alive, and I knew this is what I'm supposed to do, somehow some way.
Anyways this post is not about every detail of the show (but another post about PAFW will be coming soon). Keep reading for photos and details below!
Above is the dress I wore which was perfect with my hair (Ariel game strong) and accents of gold. I've never been a big jewlery person (working on it) so I decided to play with accents of gold with shoes, clutch, rings and my make-up.
With my hair I decided to go with loose mermaid curls. I felt like I wanted to keep things natural, and... Well ME! Then I pulled some away from my face to show off my contour! Which speaking of contour (you may or may not be able to tell in this photo) I decided to go with a deep golden bronze to add glow and warm tones to my face. It also helped with contouring which is great if you have a round face like me and know you'll be taking lots of photos (especially with flash... Plan ahead ladies... Plan ahead) and I added a pop of red with some mac lipstick (using Ruby Woo of course) and a smokey brown eye to again add some warm tones.
My shoes sparkly shoes are from ShoeLand surprisingly and only $17!! I can't believe I found some that fit the look perfectly (it took forever) and walkable (only for like 2 hours though.)
My gold clutch is from a franchesca's boutique in Waterford Lakes! It was a little pricey (pricey for me is $34 lol) but it was perfect with my dress and I couldn't find one for the longest time so I was happy to stumble across this beauty! Also it carried everything I needed all night! Want a "What's in my Night Out Clutch" post? If so I would be happy to show you what I carried around all night!
Overall I had such a fun time so here are some more fun photos I took of the night! Enjoy!
