back to you.

Back to you.

Here I am being pulled back to you.

I have a relationship with this cord that ties me to you.

I swear you were the last person I wanted to fall for,

But here I am laying with your silhouette.

I know if I chase this down you’d look me in the eyes and say,

I just don't see you that way.

But here I am…

back to you.

There are the moments I try to snip this tie.

I just don't think I’m that strong.

Back to you.

It always comes around

Back to you.

As John Mayer once sung

I listen to him a lot when you leave.

It’s like a dream that gets crushed by reality.

My life story right?

Back to you.

How can you be held by someone who hasn't touched you?

Back to you.

Things are always foggy when you’re around.

It’s like all I can see is you, and for those moments I like it.

And although it pains me to see you leave,

I sigh in relief that the fog is about to fade and I’ll be able to see clearly.

The clarity shows the reality that I always crawl back to you.

Like a hopeless puppy in need of love,

Except I’m truly fine without you.

Going back to you only shows me how much I need to never go back to you.

It shows me that if this ever be

I need to not crawl, but to run and you need legs for that.

So let me leave you this time.

So I can find some legs.

Legs to stand on…

Legs to run with….
